History
Day’s Market was founded in 1972 when Gerald Day bought a store in Heber City, Utah. It was a family business from the beginning with all of the children and many of the grandchildren involved. Through the years the Day’s operated stores in 9 locations including opening this Provo store in 1981. Steve and his brothers Alan, Byron and Carl bought the business from Gerald in 1997. Steve managed the Provo store from 1986-2006 and helped oversee an extensive remodel in 2001. In September 2016, Steve and his wife Paula bought Provo Day’s Market from his brothers. The focus on family ownership has continued with Steve and Paula’s son Brock and daughters, Ashley and Tara, who have been actively involved in the business. After graduating from college, Brock worked as an accountant and returned to the store in 2016 as part of the Day’s Family Market ownership. Day’s Market began another major remodel in October 2018 with a grand re-opening in May 2019.
We are excited to continue to serve our guests in our newly remodeled store. As a locally owned business, we really do appreciate the patronage of our guests.
